MommyMakeoverIstanbul.us is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We are continually working to improve the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Our Accessibility Goal

We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard. WCAG 2.1 Level AA is widely regarded as the benchmark for web accessibility and covers a wide range of recommendations for making content more accessible to people with a broad range of disabilities.

What We Are Doing

We have implemented the following measures to support accessibility:

  • Semantic HTML — we use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions (<main>, <nav>, <article>, <aside>), and meaningful markup throughout the site
  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (navigation, dropdowns, accordions, forms) are accessible via keyboard
  • Skip navigation — a “Skip to main content” link is available for keyboard users
  • Color contrast — we aim for a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, as specified by WCAG 2.1 AA
  • Alt text — all images include descriptive alternative text
  • Form labels — all form inputs have associated labels for screen reader compatibility
  • ARIA attributes — we use ARIA labels and roles where standard HTML semantics are insufficient
  • Responsive design — the site is designed to work across screen sizes and supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • Link purpose — link text describes the destination or purpose of each link
  • Text resizing — we use relative units (rem, em) so text scales with user preferences

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:

  • Third-party content (such as embedded analytics scripts) may not meet all accessibility standards
  • Some older content may not yet have been fully reviewed for accessibility compliance
  • PDF documents, if any, may not be fully accessible

We are actively working to identify and address these limitations.
