Our Two Review Panels
Panel 1: Surgical Content
Scope: All content related to mommy makeover procedures, surgical techniques, risks, complications, recovery from surgery, and cost comparisons.
Reviewer qualification: Board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with experience in body contouring and breast surgery.
Reviewer details to be announced. We are in the process of finalizing our surgical content reviewer. All current content has been reviewed against published medical literature and professional society guidelines.
Panel 2: Postpartum & Wellness Content
Scope: Content related to postpartum body changes, diastasis recti, pelvic floor health, non-surgical alternatives, candidacy considerations, and timing of surgery after childbirth.
Reviewer qualification: Board-certified OB-GYN or licensed physical therapist specializing in postpartum rehabilitation.

What Our Reviewers Check
- Medical accuracy — are claims, statistics, and descriptions consistent with current evidence?
- Completeness — are risks and limitations presented alongside benefits?
- Appropriate context — are results framed realistically, without overpromising?
- Terminology — is medical language used correctly and explained for a patient audience?
- Source quality — do cited sources support the specific claims made?

Articles that have completed our medical review process display a “Medically reviewed” badge with a last-reviewed date at the top of the page. This indicates:
- The content has been reviewed by a qualified medical professional
- Medical claims have been checked against cited sources
- The reviewer found no material inaccuracies at the time of review

How Often Content Is Re-Reviewed
Medical guidance changes over time, so a one-time review at publication isn’t enough. Every article on this site is scheduled for re-review at least once per quarter, or sooner if a cited guideline, study, or professional society position is updated. When a page is re-reviewed, we update the “Last reviewed” date visible at the top of the article, whether or not the content itself changed.
